What’s Fabulicious today? Music celebrating America and her people.

The Fourth of July in America: time for friends, family, and fireworks. And it’s a time for music. The American music that stirs me the most are songs honoring “we the people.” I’ve put together a little sample below, ranging from the more traditional (Morton Gould’s American Salute) to more recent tomes that pay homage to our resilience by speaking truth to power (Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA and Levon Helm’s Poor Old Dirt Farmer.)

So, Happy Birthday to America–and to her people.
